Whether it be live or on VT Mike can do it all – and has – for shows ranging from The Big Breakfast on Channel 4, CCTV for the BBC3 to Nickelodeon’s Nick A.M., It’s not fair, Scratchy and Co, ITV’s Mad For It, The Last Word, and Made in the North West, and most recently, presenting the OB’s and VT’s on Richard & Judy for Channel 4.

The list of the stars who have felt his cheeky wit reads like a who’s who of Hollywood’s A list. In the last year alone Mike has riffed with Billy Crystal, Julia Roberts, George Clooney Mel Gibson and Brad Pitt to name but a few. Mike, in turn, has become the scourge and the darling of the red carpet circuit – cheering up both stars and viewers by undermining the black tie pomposity in a way not seen since Dennis Pennis. But Mike’s equally comfortable covering stories and meeting people who wouldn’t know George Clooney if he bit them. As presenter of the Obs on The Big Breakfast, Mike’s job was to take an idea, a few dodgy props, and an unsuspecting half asleep street and deliver gold.

Mike is a popular speaker on the after dinner circuit, and is always being asked to contribute towards numerous TV shows. He recently took part in Celebrity Poker and Sky One’s The Match.

Put simply Mike is that rare thing in a TV presenter – someone who can be his own genuinely hilarious self in whatever TV environment producers choose to put him. Equally at home in a studio or on the road, with stars or real folk, working alone or in an ensemble team.
